We cannot deny the effect of isolation on our emotional wellness. It can be tough for many, especially for those who struggle with intense feelings of loneliness. With infinite updates filling our homepages, it is certainly a difficult task to remain calm. However, keeping in touch with people we appreciate can make us feel much better.

Here are some ideas for you to have fun with friends, even when physically apart.

- Cook something together while video calling

- Have a Netflix party

- Spam your group chat with quality memes

- Make each other playlists, and then comment on the songs that made you dance your loneliness away

- If you like drawing, have art dates through video calls, you can have a common idea/theme and then share your results or you can draw each other!

- Have dance parties. You can listen to the same music, but if your music taste is a little different, you can have a headphone dance party

- Write them a letter showing gratitude for their friendship and remind them of how much you appreciate them!

- Play video games together, or party games such as truth or dare

- Do an online photo shoot. Try on some cool outfits and take great shots, even if it's through FaceTime :-)

- Try to follow the same make up tutorial or get inspiration from some looks. You can share your process and results!

- Do a list of all the things you wish to do together once this is over

- Follow a tutorial/DIY

- Workout together

- Take an online class

- Do karaoke

- Recommend each other a book and then share your comments on them

- Clean your room at the same time, listening to your favorite tracks

- Happy hour!

- Important reminder: check on your friends since social distancing can be a challenge for many <3

Even if nothing can replace the hugs of your friends, there are still ways to remain connected. During times like these, the best we can do is follow instructions and remind ourselves that this too shall pass.
